  1. 1

Run it in a terminal, with your key in place of iris_live_YOUR_KEY.

  2. 2

Add --scope user to have Iris in every project, not only the current one.

  3. 3

In Claude Code, /mcp shows iris as connected, with its tools.

Another client? This is all it needs.

Your Iris key,
your Iris credits.

The MCP server uses the same keys and the same credits as the API. Nothing new to sign up for.

Questions

Before you connect.

What does Iris receive?+

Only the tool calls your assistant makes: the tool's name and its arguments, such as an address, a transaction signature or a list of addresses. Your conversation, your prompts and your files stay with your assistant.

Why treat the key, and the connector URL, like a password?+

Anyone who has either can run tools on your account and spend your credits. Keep them out of shared configs and repositories. For the URL-only connector, create a separate key just for it, so you can revoke it on its own without breaking your other integrations, and use the header wherever a client supports one. If one leaks, revoke it in Account → API.

What are the limits?+

Paid tools draw on your plan's allowance, then on your pack credits. When both are spent, the tool returns an error your assistant can read, with where to top up. Tool calls share the API's limit of three running at once per account. A call that fails is refunded.

How do I check what my assistant concluded?+

Every result links back to its full view on iriscan.app, such as iriscan.app/<address>: the report, the source of every label and the transactions behind each finding.

Does it work without a key?+

A client can connect and list the tools without one, so directories and inspectors can see what Iris offers. Calling a tool needs a key, the free ones too, since they answer for your account.

Which clients work?+

Any client that connects to remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP. A client that only runs local servers can reach it through mcp-remote, as Claude Desktop does above.

Create a key, add Iris to your client, and ask.
